Being a periodontist places me in a position to improve the oral health and quality of my patients’ lives. In working to treat periodontal disease and restore oral function, I am not only a dental health provider but an educator, motivator, and supporter for my patients. Knowing I can and do make a difference in my patients’ lives is deeply rewarding. I am committed to providing each with the advanced, conservative treatment they deserve, in a welcoming, safe, and encouraging environment.

Education and In Practice
- Bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology — University of California Berkeley
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine — Harvard School of Dental Medicine
- Specialty certificate in advanced periodontology — University of Southern California School of Dentistry
Dr. Roy Yoo has been a practicing periodontist for more than 15 years. He enjoys working with his hands, is detailed-oriented, and places each patient’s health and well-being at the forefront in every interaction.
Starting with the initial visit, Dr. Yoo strives to build trust and communication with the patient. Throughout the diagnostic and treatment planning process, he explains the patient’s clinical condition, reviews treatment options, and encourages questions. This helps guide each person to make informed decisions that are right for their specific needs.
Because periodontal health is the foundation to optimal oral health, Dr. Yoo and his staff vest time in teaching each patient how to take control of their dental wellness. During each appointment, useful education, motivation, and encouragement are offered, and the doctor and team become their patient’s supporters. The goal is to ensure each patient achieves improved oral health and positive outcomes, and is able to maintain a healthy smile for years to come.
Dr. Yoo and his team members take time to make every patient know they are welcome and cared for. They are attentive and compassionate: helping patients feel calm, relaxed, and at ease during appointments. This leads to positive experiences and patients understanding that they are in safe and caring hands.
